This has been an eventful month, but getting trackside was not among the events. Knowing it would be a busy month, while selecting this year's party favors action photos, I also picked out a few rosters from the past year to use just in case I didn't manage to get out for a fresh catch. Way back in May 2013, I did not notice anything unusual about this photo of C44-9W #5531. Looking closely, the road number on the cab appears to be patched. A little research shows this to be the former 5842, which now would be smack in the middle of the ES44AC number series, so renumbering it seems to be a logical decision. Enjoy! |
