Hi everyone,
Here is another five blue and yellow BNSF units from Mark R. Lynn, this time all five are GP35's. Much like the GP30's, while I refer to these units as GP35's, some people refer to them as GP35u's or some other designation to show that they have been rebuilt. Also, I'm not really sure what mechanical changes were made. The only external modification I have noticed on these has been removed on most units. The Santa Fe added some sheilds above the air filter and beside the exhaust stack, as visible in Wes Carr's photo of GP35 #2552, but this later photo from Mark shows the shields removed. All four other units posted today also lack these shields. Enjoy! |
