Hi everyone,
Once again, I have examples of C44-9W's in the three most common Heritage II paint scheme variations. I have not spelled out the differences for a while, so I will elaborate again today. The most noticable differences are on the nose, specifically the paint under the yellow stripe and the BNSF cigar band lettering. C44-9W #4907 wears the first common scheme with small BNSF lettering on the cigar band and green under the yellow stripes on the nose. C44-9W #4982 is a later variation with large BNSF lettering on the cigar band and green under the yellow stripes on the nose. C44-9W #4560 shows the most recent variation, with large BNSF lettering on the cigar band and orange under the yellow stripes on the nose. Enjoy! |
