Hi everyone,
Today was a bit more typical sampling of motive power, with three C44-9W's on grain, intermodal, and manifest freights, with a SD70MAC #8989 pulling coal, and SD40-2 #7822 tied down in Saginaw yard. Until today, I only listed SD70MAC's up to 8984 in my roster. Fortunately, Robert C. Del Grosso's "Burlington Northern & Santa Fe Railway Locomotive Review and Remote Control Units" book includes 8985-8989. I suspect these units are warranty protection units provided by EMD, tacked on to the end of a 212 unit order to ensure 212 would be operational at any given time. Enjoy! |
