Message of the day - August 13, 2010:

Hi everyone,

Today I pick up where I left off last month with a few pix of Crawford Hill done the right way, which is to visit Ponderosa Ranch. I'll elaborate on that next time. For now, I'll just say there is plenty of action there, as between Alliance and Crawford Hill I was able to "make quota" of 5 decent rosters in under 5 hours one evening just counting the GE ES44AC's! As numerous as this model is, I've only managed to post 21 photos of them so far, so another 5 is a significant increase. I have a long, long way to go before ES44AC boredom sets in.

Also for those into roster data, Robert C. Del Grosso released his new "BNSF Railway 2010 Locomotive Review" book last month, which came in handy for the roster data on 6405. Make that 6405:2 for the purists. Actually, Bob lists 685 ES44AC's and I only have 551 listed here, so I have some work to do once I some photos of the missing units to motivate me. If you can't wait for me to get around to updating my roster data, get Bob's book - while they are hot! It's the one with BNSF "Smurf" 2050 on the cover.

Actually Bob's books are just as nice to have for the pix. I sure am glad he stepped up and publised all photos in color several years back.

Enjoy!
