Message of the day - February 14, 2004:

Hi everyone,

The Dallas Fort Worth area woke up to a winter wonderland today, and as luck would have it I did not sleep in like usual so I got an early start on some photos. This was a day to break the rules I usually follow when it comes to photography. It was cloudy, which means no roster shooting though I could not help but still take a few roster grabs. The goal was to catch a few trains in rare Texas snow, and I took the opportunity to shoot a few angles that simply will not work on a sunny day. Choice shots of the day were not BNSF, but the Fort Worth & Western's Tarantula steam train.

I'm still staying somewhat on the freight car theme of BNSF flatcars for this month with a couple more bulkheads in Montana, where snow can be found during just about any month of the year.

Enjoy!
