Message of the day - January 15, 2000:

Hi everyone,

I'm off to a late start this year, as I did not want to put off the expansion to the Santa Fe site that I've been meaning to do for the past couple years any longer. In case you have not seen the changes, take a look.

For BNSF, I'm starting off the new year with some material from a new contributor, Wes Carr. I'm not sure when I first crossed trails with Wes, but I think it was when waiting for a coal train to leave Avondale and pass under US 287 that we met. I think it was on July 7, 1998 when this shot of SD70MAC #9842 was taken. I recall he had just caught one of the GP40X's in BNSF Heritage I paint (must have been 3031) a few days earlier. I was kind of hoping to see that from him. Maybe in the next batch.

Wes is primarily an action shooter, and by the looks of his shot of C44-9W #746, he definitely knows the art. Kind of reminds me how I need to turn some attention to that Action / Scenic section again. Sounds like a project for April 12, 2000.

Enjoy!
