Hi everyone,
Here is a little more variety of power and paint schemes from new contributor Wes Carr. There are three Heritage I repaints, one unfinished Heritage II C44-9W, and a full Heritage II SD70MAC. Interesting unit of the day would be GP38X #2177, which looks a bit different with it's striped plow. I call the stripes "candy cane" stripes, as this unit was used for the BNSF 1998 Santa Claus Express. I also have earlier photos of the unit in BNSF paint before the plow was dressed up. Another change that is not as obvious is the lowering of the headlight. Also note that the horn is no longer on the cab. It is not visible in the photo, but I would guess it was placed back by the radiator fans, as is becoming common practice on BNSF. See GP38-2 #2353 for an example of the likely new location of 2177's horn. Enjoy! |
