Hi everyone,
Well, I am off to a slow start this year, and it will stay that way for a little while. Here are five more photos from contributor Wes Carr, all of SD70MAC's in Heritage II paint. Interestingly, we both caught the same unit on the same day probably an hour or two apart - and it was not just any day, it was December 31, 1999. Not much has changed between the earlier photo by Wes and the later photo by me of BNSF SD70MAC #8859 other than the angle of the sun. Oddly enough, this train was still in the same spot 24 hours later. Either not too many crews were available on New Years Eve and Day, or maybe BNSF did not want to run any more trains than necessary at the moment the "Y2K bug" hit. Kind of wish I'd have posted these photos on New Years Eve 2000 now that I think of it. Enjoy! |
