Message of the day - January 4, 2005:

Hi everyone,

May as well start off the year with something predictable, and that would be five BNSF C44-9W photos. I probably did not need to post a second photo of C44-9W #4168 also taken on January 25, 2004 but what can I say, at least it is clean. I was recently reviewing my C44-9W photos, and while most of them are in decent shape, most of them do show a bit of dirt, especially on and around the trucks.

Since I only have two varieties of BNSF Heritage II C44-9W nose paint and decal variations to point out, I may as well not elaborate on that much since I do have one particularly interesting subject to point out. Note that in the photo of C44-9W #4881 we have what looks like a LMX B39-8E as second unit. It's been a few years since I've seen any LMX units on the rails, and from my notes it is no longer LMX #8587, but is now wearing RLCX reporting marks.

Enjoy!
