Hi everyone,
Here are five more GE C44-9W's from Mark R. Lynn. Now we are getting back to some of the oldest units delivered in Heritage II paint. Some were delivered without the yellow striping as shown in this earlier photo of C44-9W #4738 and had small BNSF lettering below the number on the cab. Today I have noticed for the first time that the small BNSF has disappeared from at least one of these units. Note this 1999 photo of C44-9W #4751 by Wes Carr and this more recent 2000 photo of the same unit by Mark R. Lynn. Not only has the small BNSF disappeared, the air conditioner has been restored to the proper color. Enjoy! |
