Like the SD70MAC's I posted in June, I have lots of C44-9W's to post, and it will take over 20 days to get it all done. To keep it interesting, I'll do my best to mix up the subtle paint scheme variations. Today all five show minor differences. I will save a detailed unit by unit description for a future date, but will say that the size of the BNSF logo on the nose, the color of the paint under the yellow stripe on the nose, presence of BNSF lettering under the road number on the cab, and the size and quantity of white reflective striping on the frame sill are features to compare and contrast. For the most part, differences I will point out are between various units. However, some early Heritage II units such as C44-9W #4736 exhibit several variations on the same unit, three in this case!
