Message of the day - July 4, 1998:

Hi everyone,

Happy Fourth of July! Today I am posting the last slide from contributor John T. Kennedy, plus a few from my own collection. While I have nothing particularly patriotic to post, if you have been wanting to see something different than the usual orange and green, today is your day. I am posting the second (GP50 #3170) and third (SD45 #6407) BNSF relettered blue and yellow units to be posted to the archives. While these were quite scarce back in February, they are becomming much more commonplace, at least here in Texas. They seldom seem to be on the lead of trains, though, so while I have seen several, I don't have very many really good shots of them. In fact, I have passed up many opportunities (and regret not shooting the relettered blue and yellow FP45/SDFP45's). An interesting unit that I did not let slip by is one-of-a-kind BNSF relettered GP60B #342.

Well, hope you like what you see so far. As always, I welcome your comments, criticism, and most of all, contributions! Feel free to e-mail me - cbiel@sbcglobal.net.

Enjoy!
