Here is my last ex-BN unit, a GP15-1 "urban tunnel motor" and the other four are a start on filling a major void in the photo archive. Last month, I did a pretty good number on new Heritage II painted SD70MAC's, but until today, there has only been one shot of a Heritage II painted C44-9W, #4729. Thanks to contributors Mark R. Lynn, John T. Kennedy, Chris Stewart, Randy Keller and Ray Lackemeyer, I now have some good Heritage II C44-9W shots to add to the archive. I'm starting out posting the units as they started out - in primer. The next couple days will feature some units in incomplete Heritage II paint, reminiscient of the simplified GN orange and green. I've heard the incomplete BNSF scheme referred to as a few different names, but like the term "uncarved pumpkin" as Mark Lynn calls them. One last thing - for those of you who collect builder info, I need builder numbers and dates for the following, all BNSF C44-9W's: 4312, 4317, 4326, 4335, 4344, 4768, 4785, 4790, 4793, 4800, 4806, 4830, 4860, 4861, 4876, 4886, 4906, 4919, 4926, 4932, 4962, 4968 I can guess numbers for a few, but could especially use a few numbers from any low 4300, or 4800-4900. Even if they are not listed above, every little bit helps! Enjoy! |
