Funny how yesterday I was guessing it would be several weeks before my line to the house is functioning, and in less than a day it is working. I have to admit that I am a little unprepared and have not sent any slides out for Photo CD service recently, but I have no excuse to put it off now. Might as well get my money's worth out of this line. As for today's pictures, more of the same - five more Heritate II C44-9W photos, all by me. There is something different this time, though. The original scans of C44-9W #684 were not Photo CD masters, but scans from a Polaroid film scanner made to get photos of this unique repaint out quickly. Compare the Photo CD scan and there is not much difference in detail, but there is some in color. This is the first case where I have reposted a photo, but now that I am back online with a high speed connection, I am strongly considering reposting many of the original photos in 800x600 instead of 640x400. This will be easy for BNSF and ATSF, since I have kept all the 800x600 files, but for the BN site, I only did 640x400 for the first couple years. I'm sure that reposts of the early 70's stuff from A.J. Reinschmidt would be most welcome. Enjoy! |
