Hi everyone,
Once again, here are five more Heritage II macs, all five by me. This is now the most images I've posted to the BNSF site in a month, and to celebrate, here is a shot of the most macs I have seen on a train. SD70MAC #9955 is on the point of an empty with quite a bit of help. I could have got a roster of 9955 too, but instead decided to take notes of what five units were on the point. They are 9955, 8821, 9980, 9537, and 9681, plus 9965 on the rear of this DPU train. The other four shots are all of another DPU train, this time with the usual two units on the front and one on the rear. I usually don't get as close to a moving train as I did on this shot of SD70MAC #9912, but the train was going less than 20 miles per hour. It was making good time from Saginaw where I caught the DPU unit on the rear, SD70MAC #9913, but once it got to Avondale, it slowed considerably. It sure was a treat having it run that slow, as I got to take several train/roster pairs instead of just the usual two. The road by the tracks there is only good for about 45 mph, and trains often run 60 mph on that stretch of track. Enjoy! |
