Hi everyone,
Today I am doing a little spring cleaning. I noticed a few images I had left over from previous CD's that I have yet to post due to some relatively insignificant problem. In the case of C44-9W #4982, the problem was simply that the angle is not exactly a classic roster shot, but the lighting is good. The real flaw that bothered me was that the end that I photographed is coupled, which is a no-no. Minor to some, serious to others. I finally decided since I don't have too many rear uncoupled shots, I'd let it slide. The other four shots are of Maxi IV #211331. Last spring I spent several months posting double stack car photos and I discovered I have over 50 images I did not get around to posting since they are three unit cars, and I needed a fifth photo to fill the #5 slot. I just can't break the rhythm of posting in batches of 5. Such drastic interruptions to the well established work flow could lead to further organizational problems and I do not want to go there. Maybe posting in groups of 6 would be a good idea, but I'm not ready to make such a drastic change. It would be easier to just fill the #5 slot with some other subject. In retrospect, I really should have used some of those auto racks. Somehow I think most people would rather see locomotives up next. One thing is for sure, I'll have plenty of locomotive action photos for my annual birthday party favors page on April 12!. Enjoy! |
