Wow, it has been almost two years since I posted a SD70MAC photo. I thought it had been a while so I dug into the collection and found over 100 decent shots waiting to be scanned. 72 are ready, and 36 more should be soon. Two years ago I tried to post 100 Macs in the month of June. I only made it to 95, so we'll see if I can't make it 100 this time. To pull that off, I'll have to limit myself to 8 Macs this month. I may have spoke too soon if I mentioned the ex-BN parade being over. SD70MAC #9448 is an ex-BN SD70MAC sporting a rather elusive BNSF paint scheme variation. I am not sure how many units feature the color coordinated BNSF logo on the nose and BNSF lettering on the cab. I have not had many opportunites to catch these - just like the BN SD70MAC's they are seldom on the lead of a train since they lack distributed power. I have heard that the BN units may be retrofitted with distributed power, but have yet to see an example. I still have some spring cleaning left to do so here is the first of three Trinity 53' three unit articulated cars, Stack Car #211365. Enjoy! |
