Message of the day - May 26, 2013:

Hi everyone,

The 8th Annual "24 Hours in Saginaw" event on May 24th and 25th has now come and gone, and while I didn't make quota due to being picky about roster shot lighting and generally suboptimal weather, I know I did miss at least one decent roster shot opportunity. Making quota during this event is a challenge since I tend to stay put at the depot where the people are instead of chasing around for the best light angles as I tend to do for the other 363 or so days of the year.

I did see lots of nice photos presented, and even purchased a few nice BN roster shot slides which might wind up on the BN side of things soon.

Today's batch of photos was inspired by a local railfan and friend Brian Tindle, who reminded me of his interest in the rare EMD GP40X model, so I dug back a ways in the collection to see if I had any decent pix that I had not yet posted. Sure enough, I found a couple. Here are GP40X #3035 and GP40X #3036 as well as a three EMD GP50's to make up the usual batch of five.

Enjoy!
