Message of the day - November 5, 2001:

Hi everyone,

Once again, here are five more photos of three pumpkins. This time I previously had at least one photo of each unit but the more the merrier. I recently discovered the adjust curves feature of Photoshop, and I think this is the best tool yet for restoring a reasonably accurate shade of orange to my typical overexposed Kodachrome 25. I know that stuff is hard to overexpose, but I do it intentionally since most of my properly exposed slides don't scan as well, although I am learning more tricks about Photoshop all the time.

For those of you who stopped by on Halloween hoping for some pumpkins and left disappointed, I may as well point out the little "trick" I decided to pull off this year. Note that after six months of dormancy, I have revived the Santa Fe site. If you are more of a BN person (like me) be sure to check out the BN Photo Archive for the most pumpkin-like units the BN had to offer back in the 80's.

Enjoy!
