I'm back again with another day of posting individual unit photos for the five unit cars I posted on November 27th. Second of the five is Maxi I #237082. I am not 100% convinced that the history of this car is accurate, since it looks to me like a car that used to carry a RAIL BRIDGE logo. Perhaps the RAIL BRIDGE cars originally had BN reporting marks as shown in Robert C. Del Grosso's "Burlington Northern & Santa Fe Railway 2002 Locomotive Review and Freight Car Directory" available from Great Northern Pacific Publications.. I have not spent much time researching the history of the above car, but I do have a different history for Maxi I #237091 which is listed in the same ex-BN group in Del Grosso's book. I do not recall where I got the idea that this car was previously SP/GBRX. I do know that when I posted the photos in February 2002, I did not have Del Grosso's 2002 book yet so the info must have been from another source. I wish I had noted the source I based my previous history on. I'm guessing it was based on prototype photos I have collected. Enjoy! |
