Hi everyone,
I intended to do more double stack cars this month, but today I wound up catching three, no make that four double stack trains, which to me would be quite the field day. I consider myself lucky to catch one. One train was going the wrong way, so the nose was dark and hence I am not posting a shot of it, but two went the right way, and offered me the unique opportunity to shoot both sides with good light. A neat trick when you can pull it off. As luck would have it, I ended the day with another intermodal but I figured for variety's sake (yeah, yeah, I know they are all C44-9W's) I I'd throw in one manifest since it had the warbonnet. So I have one each of the three major BNSF C44-9W paint schemes, but most interesting is C44-9W #964, which in this overhead view shows a short lived interim Heritage I variation where the walkways are red. I thought these also had red horns, but if it did it is gone now. Kind of like the orange air conditioner is gone, replaced with a warbonned air conditioner. Enjoy! |
