Hi everyone, Here are a few of the more unusual locomotives paitend in BNSF colors of one form or another. There are not too many locomotives lettered in BNSF that have not been delivered new since the merger. This may change soon, as I heard from Robert C. Del Grosso (author of several BN and BNSF publications) that BNSF will begin a mass renumbering (and likely relettering) plan on December 15, and hope to be done in 60 to 90 days. I don't know if they will renumber locomotives in a style similar to GP39E #2911 and GP39E #2931, but the BN green and SF blue and yellow as we know it may not be around much longer, so if you like the old, better get busy and take pictures while you can!
