Hi everyone,
While I have a little momentum, I may as well continue pumping out the pumpkins. These SD40-2's still show up pretty often on BNSF trains, but it has taken me a while to build a decent collection of front uncoupled units. They have a nasty habit of getting stuffed behind the even more commonplace C44-9W's. I do not think I will have to dig for too long to put together a dash nine ad nauseum series. I suppose for the modelers out there I should point out that I now have a variety of views of SD40-2 #6877, even if they are all of the same side. The first photo by Wes Carr is probably the most valuable, being an overhead view showing the all important color of the walkways. I prefer orange, but if you prefer green then the photo of SD40-2 #6925 may do something for you. I suppose the green does weather a lot better. Now that I take another look, 6925 is a bit unususal since it features a high mounted headlight. I can't help but wonder if it has been relocated to the nose yet. Enjoy! |
