Happy Halloween! It just would not be right to let this day pass by without a decent helping of pumkins, so here are five more of the SD40-2 variety. I am a little short on overhead photos this time, with only SD40-2 #7150 showing a glimpse of the green walkways. Those of you into details may find SD40-2 #7223 interesting. If you are used to spotting the heritage of SD40-2's as Santa Fe or BN by checking for an air conditioner, that will not help in this case. Speaking of the heritage of units, SD40-2 #7314 is one of the former CN SD40's rebuilt to SD40-2 standards. This series of units had me a bit confused for a while, since they still look like SD40's (so that should be used to model them) but internally they are mostly equivalent to SD40-2's. The trucks are certainly one area in which these units are not SD40-2 equivalents. Enjoy! |
