Message of the day - October 9, 2004:

Hi everyone,

Once again, I am moving right along with these Maxi I photos with the five units of the fourth car featured three days ago, Maxi I #237534. In case it is not yet obvious, I was feeling somewhat starved for intermodal photos as BNSF stack trains in the Ft. Worth area have been rather elusive. Plenty go in and out of Alliance Yard, but I have yet to master catching them on a regular basis. Kingman Canyon in Arizona was nice, but trains went through there at a fairly good clip. On Cajon Pass near Los Angeles, California the steep grade keeps train speeds down, making shots like these much like shooting fish in a barrel. Not particularly rewarding if you like the thrill of the chase, but if you are after lots and lots of good photos with little effort, then it does not get much better than Cajon Pass.

Enjoy!
