Hi everyone,
Here are three more Heritage II C44-9W's, this time with two of those roster/train pairs. This time I did a pretty good job on both shots. I wonder how that happened. I think it was when I got the idea to take the train at 70mm and zoom back to 50mm on the roster. That gives me a little more time to refocus. I still may give up on that and shoot one or the other but not both, especially since the Montana trip. I didn't see anyone else there with a zoom lens. Everyone was using fixed length lenses (and most used tripods), and most of the slides others were showing were noticably sharper than mine. Photoshop's unsharp mask helps me get some of that sharpness back, but better original quality will always yield better results. Guess it may be time to go back to the old 50mm for a while, and consider purchasing a 200mm telephoto for action as well. Enjoy! |
