Hi everyone,
I spoke too soon last time, as I do still have a few 4600's left. I am finished with the Heritage II C44-9W's with green paint under the curved yellow stripe at the bottom of the nose, so all five units featured today sport the latest simplified standard, which sports orange under the yellow stripe. For those of you not familiar with the various number series and delivieries of C44-9W's, the 4700-4999 slots were filled before the 4300-4699, with the 5499 to 5226 being delivered later yet. Note the closeness of the builder numbers and dates of C44-9W 4698 and (52222, April 2000) C44-9W 5490 (52233, May 2000) if you need any reassurance of road number order versus build order. Enjoy! |
