Hi everyone,
Got a fresh catch including a couple firsts to feature! Most notable of the firsts are not one but two NRE 3GS21B's. These are new in many ways. First, while NRE has been around for a while providing various railroad services, as fas as I know they began building new locomotives in 2006. These are not rebuilds, though the trucks are probably secondhand from EMD. The other first is a bit less notable but something that has been quite elusive - a SD70ACe from the 2nd order with the headlight lowered to the nose. The first order had them on the top of the cab. Oh, and in case anyone is watching to see what C44-9W's the BNSF might repaint into the new paint scheme featuring the Wedge logo, C44-9W #4792 looks like a likely candidate. Until Kato comes out with a C44-9W with this cab window configuration, I'll just have to hope for one of the old 600-650 class ex-Santa Fe's gets the nod. Enjoy! |
