Message of the day - September 13, 1997:

Hi everyone,

So, did anyone see my post to misc.rail.transport.americas on Monday September 9th about BNSF 740? For those of you who have not heard, it is a new variaton of the BNSF pumpkin scheme with a much louder look to it. Changes include more orange and much more yellow, a SF style nose band with BNSF lettering, and yellow BNSF lettering on the sides. I got a shot of it on the 8th, but it's obstructed by some fuel stands and is a 200mm zoom stretch. At least the light was good. I hope to post it in about three weeks. I'm sure there will be better shots. (Hope I get a better one.)

I still don't have any motive power pages made up yet. Maybe I'll have some in October (good thing I didn't say September when I wrote that last month), but I'll probably put it off until next year. I think I may be done re-doing the BN pages by then, and I want to just edit the BN pages into BNSF pages once I'm at that point. I have a lot of SF pages to build too. At least there are a couple good BNSF refernces out there now (books) that have renumbering schemes. Until then, this what's new section will be the only way to access anything. Kind of inconvenient, I know, but that shouldn't be too big of a deal until I have over 100 images to dig through, and at the rate I'm going it will take a while to get to that point.

Well, hope you like what you see so far. As always, I welcome your comments, criticism, and most of all, contributions! Feel free to e-mail me - cbiel@sbcglobal.net.

Enjoy!
