Message of the day - April 30, 2007:

Hi everyone,

This month was busy, but not on the usual stuff. I did get 72 BNSF photos up, but only five will show up in the archives as I currently index the images. The other 72 are action photos taken over the past year that I selected for my annual April 12 birthday party. In case you missed the party, here's one more chance to score some party favors.

Now that I've rested up after that effort, it's time for more of the stuff I enjoy doing every month with another five photos from new contributor Dan Grobe. Dan supplied a generous selection of just what I was in the mood for tonight. I let the BN slip this month. I tried, but the unusual material got me confused and distracted. I'll explain that later. But I've still got BN on the brain, so why not do some BNSF that is quite obviously ex-BN right down to the BN green paint. All four of today's subjects happen to be in BN whiteface paint, complete with yellow reflectors along the frame sill. For those who enjoy looking closely for oddities, GP28M #1512 might catch your eye with its unsual BNSF lettering on the nose.

Enjoy!
