Aha! What have we here! Not one, but two Heritage II GE C44-9W's with those displaced red and silver air conditioners. I did not exactly plan to start out with this photo of C44-9W #5346 as a continuation of yesterday's observation (especially since it is a Kodachrome 64 scan, the rest are Kodak DCS 760 digitals). What are the odds? Of course, for all I know, all five units could have red and silver air conditioners, but the other three photos are of the wrong side. I should also mention that thanks to help from members of the Loconotes group at yahoogroups.com, I have updated the C44-9W and AC4400CW roster pages with updated unit totals and details. I sure am glad I decided to chase down C44-9W #5843 and 5169 for photos of the builder plate decals. Enjoy! |
