Hi everyone,
Today we have five more images from new contributor Al Seever. Al has contributed to the BN Archive previously, and this is his first batch of BNSF. This time, all shots are of GE's - two B23-7's and the first of the C44-9W's in the incomplete Heritage II scheme I have posted, #4729 (which has since been painted in full Heritage II with a twist that I'll point out later) - which brings up a question: I have read a few posts in newsgroups and e-mails from people that refer to a Heritage III scheme. In one, it seemed that the original Heritage scheme is of course the one on C44-9W's 960-1123, and all orange and green standard cab units. It makes sense to me that the new orange and green with the Snata Fe style nose band sould be the Heritage II scheme. Some messages imply that the red and silver scheme with BNSF lettering, as is worn by most of the 700 class C44-9W's is the Heritage II, and the new orange and green that I have been referring to Heritage II is Heritage III. If that is not the case, and there is a new scheme out there that is the Heritage III scheme I've heard mention of, someone please clue me in. Well, hope you like what you see so far. As always, I welcome your comments, criticism, and most of all, contributions! Feel free to e-mail me - cbiel@sbcglobal.net. Enjoy! |
